1. 1. Editorial Development Plan. The Brazilian Journal of Criminal Sciences (BJCCRIM) has set the following goals to be achieved in the short and medium term.

2. To continue contributing to the publication of works produced in graduate programs, critical reviews, interviews with researchers of great relevance to the scope of the journal, as well as technical productions in the field of criminal sciences (Opinions and annotated jurisprudence).

2.1 Continue to expand the extensive and reliable repository for researchers seeking duly peer-reviewed (double-blind review) material for publication. In 2023 the Journal will celebrate its 32nd anniversary.

2.2 Continue to publish calls for papers with thematic dossiers to encourage intellectual production on specific topics.

3. Scientific rigor. Adopt strict national and international criteria to maintain an ethical and transparent editorial process.

3.1 Prepare and publish submission data to maximize editorial transparency.

4. Publicity. Encourage the publication of scientific articles relevant to the development and deepening of the theory, from within and outside the national territory.

4.1 To encourage the submission of articles by foreign authors and to continue projecting the international recognition of the journal.


4.2 Try to have the journal indexed and classified in international indexers.

4.3 Introduce a DOI number for all articles published.

4.4 Organize online and/or face-to-face events, including with the authors of the publications, to contribute to the dissemination of published articles and the promotion of the authors themselves.

4.5 Promote BJCrim and its publications in social networks, academic institutions, universities, graduate programs, courts, among others.

 5. Translate the entire RBCCRIM portal into Spanish and English.
