Abstract

The article examines how technological advancement has transformed the profile of crime, creating the figure of the invisible or virtual criminal. The methodology used is exploratory research and critical analysis of legislation and police practices, given the absence of specific bibliography. The exposition covers the evolution of technology and crime, virtual offenses, current legislation and the investigative deficiencies of the Civil Police. The investigation concludes by the need for technical equipment and qualification of the investigative sector, with suggestions for combating future crime.
