Abstract

The text examines personality traits associated with suicidal tendency, understood as an inner and insidious process of self-destruction, originating in childhood experiences and grounded in the aggressive instinct. It describes traits such as scrupulous affectivity, low self-esteem, depressive state, affective ambivalence, oppositional attitude, and an introversive conflicted core. It analyzes the Freudian psychodynamics, which articulates aggression directed outward and self-punishment, and the manifestations of the tendency, such as unconscious search for accidents, choice of risky professions, illnesses, substance dependencies, pursuit of failure, and victim behavior. It concludes that victim, criminal, and suicidal behaviors are interconnected around the same fundamental conflicted core, requiring comprehensive prevention aimed at promoting mental health.
