an analysis of the issue of illicit enrichment in the “anticrime” bill

The present article addresses the recently submitted Anti-Crime Bill, which ignores basic penal principles and creates article 91-A, which allows assets to be seized whenever an individual is sentenced to more than six years of imprisonment and the total worth of their properties or goods is not compatible to their lawful income, assuming that whatever is beyond that amount has been obtained illegally or as a product of crimes.
