Self-defense in police action

The present work developed through bibliographic and documentary research, aims to analyze the use of self defense in police action. Elements about the anti-crime project and its consequences are presented to the young and black population based on data from the Atlas of Violence. The paper also presents some notes on the relevance of public policies in the Brazilian reality with a view to reducing violence.
