The purpose of research provides an overview of the state of the art of the anti-crime package. The past, present, and future of Law 13,964/2019 were addressed. The past focused on the political and social context of the legislative process for approving the aforementioned legal norm. The present will be presented through the research that comprises this dossier. The future is based on the challenges of negotiated justice, technological evolution, changes in investigative procedures, and the intensification of punishments.
