Organized money and systemic crime
Keywords:

This paper investigates how so-called “organized money” acts as a central vector of systemic crime, using global freedom of financial flows and tax havens to perpetrate a series of practices that can be classified as crimes against humanity. Under the neoliberal paradigm that emerged after the oil crisis of the 1970s, financial capital gained hegemony over productive capital, consolidating itself through speculation, corruption, money laundering, market manipulation, and political capture. This model is based on complicity between the state and financial elites, which guarantees impunity and excludes major operators from criminal accountability. The analysis shows that the current system not only allows but is structured around criminal logic, requiring a democratic reconfiguration of financial regulation and global governance.
