Consideraciones teóricas y metodológicas acerca de la investigación de la reincidencia delictual en criminología

El artículo examina las consideraciones teóricas y metodológicas acerca de la investigación de la reincidencia delictual en criminología, partiendo de una revisión de la literatura criminológica y del enfoque de la sociología criminal. Los autores analizan la escasa integración de la investigación con los cuerpos teóricos vigentes, la necesidad de enfoques interdisciplinarios y multivariados, el carácter genérico o diferencial del fenómeno, la distinción entre reincidencia legal y criminológica, y los factores socio-criminológicos asociados. Mediante discusión metodológica, examinan la formulación de modelos, los análisis transversales y longitudinales, los niveles estructural e individual y las relaciones de causalidad o reciprocidad. Concluyen señalando avances y déficits, en orden a despejar interrogantes teóricas y metodológicas.
