Abstract

The following article aims to a brief analysis of the fundamentals of the duty of information in relation to operations with cryptoactives. Starting off with the consideration that the fundamental aspects that characterize the digital currencies also entail for obstacles in the investigations of crimes made by them, the duty to provide information imposed on the middlemen and on natural persons that operates on cryptoactives, make for an important instrument to the apuration of virtual crimes perpetrated in those virtual enviroments. In this context, becames necessary to reflect around the elements that justify and legitimize the imposition of mandatory duty to provide information.
