The 25th IBCCRIM International Seminar on Criminal Sciences, with the theme “Criminal Sciences as resistance to democratic values,” aims to discuss threats to fundamental rights in Brazil—such as the presumption of innocence, the right to defense, and freedom of expression—in the face of tougher criminal laws, punitive expansion, and the cooling of criminal policies. IBCCRIM Archive The program includes innovative topics such as fake news, cryptocurrencies, revenge pornography, racialities, and corruption, integrating theoretical perspectives and concrete experiences. IBCCRIM Archive IBCCRIM's management highlights three priority areas: combating the genocide of the black population, defending democratic freedoms, and democratizing the justice system.
