This interview critically examines Law 15,358/2026 within the historical trajectory of Brazilian criminal policy. It discusses the expansion of punitive power, police and judicial discretion, the criminalization of conduct, and selective incarceration, while advocating a public security model grounded in social justice, rights protection, and the reduction of structural inequalities.
