Abstract

The concept of equity has a history associated with justice. Gender equity, therefore, is one of the expressions of the realisation of a political virtue that should be pursued by all societies considered civilised. Far from being synonymous with the alternation of subjection in circles of power, it corresponds to a renewable commitment to correcting social distortions and inequalities.
