This articles deals with the theme of holding a hearing through the WhatsApp application, as well as the consequences of using the institute, even though legal regulation is absent. Moreover, it raises the issue of judicial activism due to the use of this technological means, as well as the violation of procedural and constitutional guarantees. Finally, it discusses the excessive appreciation of the principles of speed and procedural economy to the detriment of the defendant.
