The Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences (IBCCRIM) has submitted a statement as amicus curiae in Direct Action of Unconstitutionality (ADI) 7.682, currently under review by the Brazilian Supreme Court (STF). The action challenges the law enacted in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, which established the “Civic-Military Schools Program” for institutions within the state’s basic education network.
