Recent climate changes have revealed the urgent need for action to reduce the negative environmental impact of human activities. In criminal law, the strategy of focusing on the prevention and repression of money laundering when its antecedents are environmental crimes has been strengthening. However, criminal law must be subsidiary, requiring the strengthening of supervision and sanctions at administrative level.
